Patio Covers, Pergolas & Decks in Parker, CO

Parker neighborhoods like Stonegate and Pradera have strong HOAs and plenty of afternoon sun. We design and build patio covers, pergolas, screen rooms, and decks that meet community guidelines, and we manage Town of Parker permitting and HOA approvals.

Building a Patio Cover, Pergola or Deck in Parker: What to Know

Permits in Parker come from the Town of Parker Building Division, and all permit applications are handled online through eTRAKiT. Parker adopted the 2024 International Codes, in effect as of June 30, 2026, along with the 2025 Colorado Wildfire Resiliency Code. The 2023 National Electrical Code stays in place until the 2026 edition takes effect January 1, 2027.

When you need a permit:

  • Decks: Parker requires a permit for all decks, regardless of height or size.
  • Patio covers and pergolas: permits are required for new structures regardless of size. The one exception is a one-story detached storage-type building up to 200 sq ft with ceilings no higher than 10 feet.
  • Screen rooms and sunrooms: additions and structural alterations need a permit and plan submittal.

Planning review is part of the process. Parker's Planning Division reviews many of these permit applications to check zoning conformance, and most Parker neighborhoods also have an HOA with its own design approval. We plan for both so the build starts on schedule.

The town says permits are required for almost everything, so call the Building Division to confirm before you start. Contractors must be registered with the town.

Built for Colorado's Climate, Permitted for Your City.

Colorado's intense UV, heavy spring snow loads, hail, and rapid freeze-thaw cycles demand structures engineered specifically for the Front Range. Our patio covers, pergolas, screen rooms, and decks are built with materials and fastening methods rated for these conditions, so your outdoor shade structure holds up season after season.

Each municipality, from Denver to Aurora, Arvada, Westminster, Thornton, Lakewood, Littleton, Centennial, and Highlands Ranch, has its own permitting rules, setback requirements, and HOA design standards. Our team handles the paperwork and inspections so homeowners don't have to navigate it alone.
